If you are lucky enough to have a reasonable sized tree in your garden with a sturdy trunk, this can be the ideal place for a reading corner. You can either build a circular bench going all the way round the tree, or simply provide a single wooden chair to recline in under the shade of the branches above. You don’t need to have a huge garden to try your hand at growing your own vegetables. Mark out a plot that is tucked away from the rest of the garden – ideally somewhere near a greenhouse or shed.
