What are your Favorite Swimming Pool Toys?

When it comes to having fun in the water, there certainly are many different choices of swimming pool toys on the market. There are choices to suit just about every taste, whether you want to be active or just take life easy.

The Floating Lounge

Most of us are familiar with this type of swimming pool toy. Once we get on to the lounger, we just lie back and enjoy the sun and the motion of the water. The models available range from the very basic, air mattress-type, to a deluxe model that includes a drink holder. It is even possible to find one that adjusts to whatever position the user desires. Now that’s a swimming pool toy!

Inflatable Swimming Pool Toys

Swimming pool toys of the inflatable variety are an old favorite. Most of us can remember playing with a beach ball at some point when we were having fun by the water. Now, consumers have many more choices when choosing inflatable swimming pool toys. Tubes are available in any color and in many different shapes, including sea serpents, dragons, UFOs, boats, or dolphins.

Jousting games with inflatable battle sticks are also available. An inflatable floating basketball hoop can be purchased as well. Any number of styles of floating islands can be purchased for fun in the water.

Pool Noodles

The pool noodle remains a very popular swimming pool toy. In addition to the basic noodle, one can buy connecting pieces to combine several noodles together in different patterns. These versatile items can be used to float with, for aquafit classes, or to simply to sit on.

Rubber Duckie and Friends

Who says that rubber ducks are only for the bath? Any toy that a child enjoys playing with in the tub can be played with as a swimming pool toy – it’s just a bigger body of water, that’s all! Children learning to swim will have fun practicing their skills as they swim toward their favorite rubber duckie. (Just make sure the toys are clean before you place them in the pool.)

Other Choices

Some people like to practice their aquatic skills by using a kick board as a swimming pool toy. Many children (and adults too) enjoy donning a pair of flippers and a mask and pretending they are checking out the colorful marine life to be found on the Great Barrier Reef.
